They said $11 over six months, so that equates to less than $2 a month, which is fine, but I'm just not sure how honest they are being with me. my 2009 vauxhall insignia was hit from behind sitting at a car park space in a supermarket,there is substantial amount of damage to the right hand arch right above the back wheel,the back bumper is also broken,it was hit that hard it was pushed onto the car park space in front of it,i believe what saved it from any further damage was the driver of the other car hit the wheel of my car which i guess cushioned the blow.i have went today and got estimates for the repair which is in the region of 2500 pounds though could be more as they have to put it on some sort of machine to see if the wheel alignment is of,the repair shops say what they will do is cut the arch out and put a new arch in and spray it but no matter what its never going to be the same.the reason they do it like this is because the whole back of my car runs to the front without any splits. Im not happy about this being done like this as this car today is worth around 10,000 pounds which i pay for and dont want it patched up,i would prefer if the other guys insurance wrote it off so that i can get an original car which i first had,is there anyway i can get this to be wrote of and claim it of the guys insurance,i have heard of depreciation money if my car has been hit but this is still not going to compensate me for my car being patched up. thanks

When I signed up for car insurance my broker told me that when my husband receives his driver's license he has to be put on the insurance. My husband got his license now, but he never drives. I'm a US citizen studying in Canada. Sunday, I fractured my wrist playing football. I saw a sports medicine doctor on Monday, who sent me for x-rays and informed me I had a fracture. He told me to go to the hospital to get a proper cast. The fracture clinic there had closed for the day so I went to the ER, where they wrapped me up and took another x-ray. I saw an orthopedic specialist this morning who set my fracture (ideally I should have come in immediately after the incident and had it set then), after which they took another set of x-rays to check if the setting worked. The prognosis is good. I didn't pay a cent in all this, as I'm covered under the University Health Insurance Plan, which all international students in Ontario get, as the Ontario Health Insurance Plan only covers residents, anything under OHIP is covered with UHIP. I'm curious, what would the cost have been had this happened in the US, with and without insurance? Thank You

Need advice concerning a comprehensive insurance plan...?

I will be getting married in December. Both my fiance' and I are still on our parents' plans (as we are below the age of 24 and have not been forced off yet). This includes car and health insurance. I am lost when it comes to how much I should pay, what kind of coverage I should aim for, etc. We will both need car and health insurance as of 12/20/09. We are looking for an all-around DECENT plan that will fit in a limited budget. Any advice/tips on what we should be doing or looking for would help a lot! Thanks!

I have recently got a job which involves me driving a disabled mans car. I have recently passed my driving test (october 2010) and I am only 19 years old. Does this mean the company I am working for needs to pay more for me to drive the car as I am not a experienced driver?

Car insurance for a new male driver with an older truck?

Ok so I am a new driver, just over 16 and a half years of age. I have a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with an extended cab and 4WD. The only reason I cant really drive it is that its not insured yet. Car insurance on your parents policy?

my family currently has 4 cars on Geico insurance. Im 16 years old and when i got my license, the cost of our insurace rose to $1200 more a year. Now, im looking to buy my own car but my dad claims buying another car will raise it to $1800. Can someone explain this to me please? Does your insurance raise everytime you buy a new car? And is the fact that we have 4 cars making my share of the insurance cost more?

Help insuring a Car?

I am 16 years old and from the UK. I will be turning 17 in november and getting a driving licence. I was offered a car from my step dad. It is a 1996 Honda Civic Coupe LSi in green/blue. It has a 1.5 litre engine, and although not very powerful, it is very desireble to steal. It might be important to mention here that it has an automatic transmission. I have tried online insurance sites to see how much it would be to insure. All the prices are very high. I just wanted some advice on how to insure this car cheap. I am willing to keep it in a garage, it has an alarm and I will use a steering lock, but the quotes are still expensive. .Thanks for any help I get

I graduated college and I am getting kicked off my parents plan. I don't have a job with benefits available, although it will become available in September. Are there any plans that have a low monthly payment? I don't need anything fancy, just catastrophic insurance. I don't need RX, Eye, Dental, just the bare minimum. Any suggestions?

Ok. Today my parent let me borrow their car so I can drive to school. On my way to school I had a car accident in the freeway. I accidently hit another car. The CHP arrive and got the report . So, let's say the neighbor's swimming pool cracks open in an earthquake, and the water runs down the hill and floods my house. Let's say the pool owner has earthquake insurance. Would that insurance fix my flood damage? Let's say the pool owner has no earthquake insurance but I do. Would my insurance cover the act of God that broke somebody else's pool?

It might be a simple question, but I can't figure it out. Is it possible to have and drive a car in the UK and have a car insurance from a foreign insurance company (e.g. German or French) on a permanent basis? If not, what is the reason? If yes, do you know any foreign insurers who do it?
